New homes threat to Ovingdean

A recent article in The Argus suggests that areas on the fringes of Brighton (including Ovingdean) may be earmarked for new housing developments.

….under pressure to close the gap between demand and supply for homes, officials yesterday tabled an amendment to the blueprint which said it would accommodate an extra 100 to 200 homes on the urban fringe.

The exact sites were not discussed but could include pockets in Mile Oak, Ovingdean, Coldean and Hollingbury.

    this ‘ack fill’ has nothing to do with providing new homes, sadly it seems is all about money being made by selling off part of a garden
