Situated in the heart of the village, Ovingdean Village Hall is easily accessible from the A259 and A27. It’s central location and excellent facilities make it an ideal venue for the many clubs and societies that use the hall for their meetings. The hall is a great venue for private hire, parties, meetings and theatre productions. The capacity of the hall is 120 persons, including catering/bar staff. The building comprises the main hall which has a bar, moveable stage and audio-visual facilities, and a small committee room with plenty of chairs and tables. The Bar is open on Club nights – Tuesday, Friday evenings as well as Sunday lunchtime. The bar is also available for private hire during parties and other social gatherings. There is a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, cooker, hot cupboard and microwave. There is also a patio with seating, plenty of parking on the carpark and on the grassed outside area. The hall is accessible for wheelchair users and has an accessible WC and baby changing.

The current Ovingdean Village Hall has been in existence we think since 1932. Initially there was a small wooden building but the viillage got together and built the current structure in 1987. More history can be found at this LINK
