Ovingdean Residents & Preservation Society is planning an exciting mid-summer celebration for 2018, which brings together a number of groups concerned with the local environment, ecology and heritage. The event will be held on June 23rd 2018 with the title the ‘Ovingdean Green Festival’, aimed at providing fun and education for all ages and a celebration of the unique location of our village betwixt coast & downs.
The event will centre on the village green (in front of to St Wulfran’s Church), whilst utilising the village hall for talks and refreshments. Featuring stalls and displays representing a number of environmentally focussed charities and pressure groups, the festival’s format will include live music, traditional maypole dancing, morris dancing, an informal dog show, nature walks, stalls selling local artisan products plus ‘green’ products and services, as well as educational tours of our beautiful & historic little church.
